The ground changes near Sölvesborg. Its golf club combines an 18-hole main course with a separate nine-hole course. Sandy soil lies beneath the main course, conifers line the fairways and recurring views across Sölvesborgsviken keep the coast in sight. It is not a simple links landscape. Instead, sand, pines and the bay create a specifically Blekinge meeting of woodland and sea.
Farther inland in the northwest, Boa GK Olofström follows a rolling 18-hole parkland route among beech and oak. Stone walls and the Orlundsån watercourse return across the course, giving it a historical and geographical character unlike the coastal courses. Ronneby Golf Club sits closer to the centre of the county and gathers its golf into one continuous 18-hole course. Ronneby's single course follows one uninterrupted eighteen-hole round, unlike Karlshamn's two complete courses and the places that also contain shorter courses.
Around Karlskrona, the archipelago becomes prominent again. Carlskrona Golf Club passes through the Almö reserve among sea inlets, oak and juniper. Trummenäs has an 18-hole seaside and parkland course with water visible from every hole, accompanied by a separate nine-hole course. Nicklastorp turns inland through beech and conifer woodland, past ponds and streams and out into more open sections. These courses show that Blekinge cannot be reduced to one coastal image. Sandy pine ground, islands, rivers, beech woods and courses ranging from three short holes to several complete eighteen-hole rounds all belong to the same small county.
Across Blekinge, the landscape changes visibly from the Mörrumsån valley in the west to the inlets of Almö in the east. Karlshamn moves through forest, parkland and river ground; Sölvesborg brings sand and pines to the bay; Boa follows beech, oak, stone walls and Orlundsån. Around Karlskrona, the archipelago takes over at Carlskrona and Trummenäs, while Nicklastorp turns inland among beech, conifers, ponds and streams. Hole counts vary, but water and woodland remain the threads connecting golf across the county.
