Privacy
Holy Drivers is a map service without accounts, advertising, affiliate features, visitor statistics or marketing tracking. This page describes what is processed even so, why, who receives it and how long it is kept.
Your position
When you choose Near me, the browser asks your permission to release your position. The coordinates are used only in the browser, to work out how far away each golf location is. They are never written to browser storage, never to the address bar and never to any error report, and they are gone when you leave the page.
The map background comes from OpenFreeMap. Your coordinates are not sent there, but the server does see which map tiles your browser requests, and therefore roughly which area the map is showing.
The browser location prompt is a separate permission that you control in your browser settings. It has nothing to do with cookies.
Saved settings
One thing is kept between visits: the language you chose, and only if you switch it yourself using the language control. It is held in your browser local storage under the name holydrivers-language for at most twelve months from your choice, and is used only to show the site in that language. It is not used for advertising, statistics or to recognise you.
The search radius, the choice between kilometres and miles, and your position exist only in memory while the page is open. They are not saved.
You can clear the saved setting with the button further down this page, or by clearing site data in your browser.
Who receives data
Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. As with any website, that means your IP address, the requested address and technical details of the request are processed so the page can be delivered and protected from abuse.
OpenFreeMap provides the map background and receives the requests for the tiles being shown.
If you email us, the message passes through Cloudflare Email Routing and arrives in a mailbox at Google. They then process the sender address, subject, content and any attachments.
We use no visitor statistics and no error reporting service. The product contains error reporting code, but it is switched off, and the site security policy does not even permit connections to such a service.
Email to us
If you write to one of our addresses, the content is processed so that we can reply. Ordinary contact, support and business messages are deleted twelve months after the matter is closed.
The exception is messages that must be retained for legal claims, contracts or accounting obligations. Those are kept for as long as the obligation lasts; for accounting records that is seven years after the end of the calendar year in which the financial year ended.
Legal basis
Your position is processed because you start the feature yourself and give the browser permission. The language setting is saved so the site works the way you chose. Hosting, security and map delivery rest on a legitimate interest in delivering and protecting the service. Email is processed in order to answer your enquiry.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal data is processed about you, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to processing that rests on legitimate interest. Write to legal@holydrivers.com.
If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.
What the map register contains
The register describes places and organisations: golf facilities, courses, driving ranges and winter golf locations. It contains no personal names, private contact details, membership registers or booking history.
When you follow an external link, the destination website own terms and privacy policy apply.
Who is responsible
Holy Drivers is operated under the trading name Nyhem Studios, which is responsible for the processing described here. Questions, corrections and suggestions are welcome at legal@holydrivers.com.
