Open the map and Counties and cities

The home page offers two large choices. The whole card is clickable, and on a phone the same choice appears as a clear button inside the card.

1. Choose Open the map to search for a town or a venue, or to see the whole country at once.
2. Choose Counties and cities to find golf without knowing a venue’s name or location first.

Read about the county and Show the county on the map

The Counties and cities page has one card per county. On a phone, use Jump to a county to go straight to the right one.

1. Choose Read about the county for an introduction to it and the golf locations selected there.
2. Choose Show the county on the map to open every golf location in that county.

Golf near the city

The county page helps you understand the golf in a region before choosing where to play. The Golf near the city button leads to the county’s selected city page.

1. Use the link near the top of the page to start with golf close to the county’s selected city.
2. Read on to compare the selected locations across the county.
3. Open a location on the map from its card, or open the whole county from the County at a glance panel.

Buttons on the city page

The city page gathers around three golf locations near the city and shows how they differ.

1. Read the descriptions and choose the golf that suits what you are looking for.
2. Open a location directly on the map, or use the map button to see golf around the city.
3. Use the county name in the breadcrumb above the heading to return to the county page.

Buttons on the map

The map works both when you know a name and when you only want to see what is nearby.

1. Type a venue, a course or a town into the search field and choose the right result.
2. Pan or zoom the map. Choose a numbered circle to move closer, or a single mark to open that place.
3. Near me uses your device position to show golf nearby. Choose the icon above and allow location access. The first search radius is 5 kilometres. Your position is handled only in your browser and is never sent to or stored by Holy Drivers.
4. On a computer, open the site settings next to the address bar and allow Location if access was blocked. Then choose Try again.
5. On iPhone and iPad, open the page menu in Safari, choose Website Settings and Location, and allow access. Then choose Try again.
6. On Android, open the site settings next to the address bar, choose Permissions and Location, and allow access. Then choose Try again.
7. The solid circle shows the search radius and the slider changes it. Clicking the map never moves your position.
8. Choose Help to read this page. Back to the map returns you to the same map view.

Golf course, driving range and winter golf

The three map categories carry both their own shape and their own colour, and each category is always spelled out in text beside the mark.

1. A green circle marks a golf course.
2. An orange diamond marks a driving range.
3. A blue square marks winter golf, meaning play or practice indoors.
4. Use the Golf courses, Driving ranges and Winter golf buttons above the map to show or hide a category.
5. A facility with both a course and a range shows two marks on one map point. It never gets a second point, and filtering a category away removes only that mark.

Buttons on the place card

Opening a golf location shows the details that could be confirmed for that particular place.

1. Read the category, what the place offers, the course names and the hole count where those details exist.
2. Choose Open in Google Maps to open the venue’s profile where it can be identified with confidence. For the remaining places the exact coordinates open instead.
3. Choose Official website for green fees, tee-time booking, opening hours and current course status.
4. If you arrived from a county or city page, a link back to it appears. After an ordinary search you can continue to the county page instead.

The Before your round button

Choose Before your round in the main menu for a checklist: what to put in the bag, what to do at the club before you tee off, and how to keep pace and courtesy out on the course.

Always check the venue’s own website before you travel. Conditions differ between clubs and can change.

EN, SV and Home

Choose EN or SV in the main menu to switch language. The Holy Drivers name returns you to the home page on the light pages. On the map, use Home to leave the map.

Your language choice is the only thing stored on your device, and only when you switch it yourself. The privacy page explains this and has a button that clears it.
