Golf in Södermanland moves through a county shaped by Lake Mälaren, the Baltic coast and a broad inland of farmland and forest. A separate five-hole short course adds a concentrated second round. Farther inland, Katrineholm Golf Club has an 18-hole course through varied terrain and a separate nine-hole course. Both clubs pair a main round with something shorter, yet the coastal setting at Trosa and the inland landscape at Katrineholm create very different experiences.

The area around Nyköping adds three more course forms. Nyköping Golf Club has two named 18-hole courses, Västra banan and Östra banan. Kiladalen Golf Club follows a single 18-hole route that shifts from old farmland into woodland.
